We raise our stock according to world-leading animal welfare and environmental standards. Our on-site Veterinarian ensures the animals’ health is maintained to the highest possible standards at all times and our experienced farm managers monitor our livestock to ensure minimal stress. All of these above listed factors aim to ensure that Ti Maunga offer highest quality New Zealands meat products made directly available to you.

Our Beliefs



We focus on pasture-fed, naturally raised, healthy animals living in good conditions. At Ti Maunga, we raise exclusively free-range sheep and cattle on optimal New Zealand pastures, with strict biosecurity and quality control processes, our animals produce not only tender and flavoursome meat but are extremely healthy and safe.

Over 100 years of Farming



Ti Maunga beef and lamb is brought to you by the Crawford Family. The Crawfords have been farming for over 100 years in the area and have invaluable experience about the land they farm. One thing that has remained constant throughout the generations: raising sheep and cattle in a natural and sustainable way to ensure the highest quality meat possible.

Why the name Ti Maunga



'Ti Maunga' are words from the New Zealand Māori language meaning "mountain of cabbage trees”. Cabbage trees are plentiful to the countryside of Maungati, South Canterbury in New Zealand's spectacular South Island. We felt that this name perfectly reflects the landscape from where our sheep and cattle are naturally raised.

Our Land

The islands of New Zealand are famed for their pure environment, exceptional farmers, unspoilt land and spectacular scenery.

The Ti Maunga farm is located in Cannington, situated approximately 28 kilometers (18 miles) southwest of Timaru, on New Zealand's South Island. The temperate climate allows grass to grow almost all year, enabling Ti Maunga sheep & cattle to live outside. The varied landscape of South Canterbury offers the perfect location for large farms, where animals roam free, grazing on lush, nutritionally rich pastures. All our beef and lamb are free-range, grass-fed and raised naturally. With the perfect climate & high quality level of grazing, Ti Maunga can deliver meat with distinct flavour and nutritional benefits.
